The Gressel Racing team kicked off the 2020 season for the Summit USMTS National Championship fueled by Casey’s with the 10th Annual USMTS Texas Spring Nationals at the Big O Speedway in Ennis, Texas. On Friday, Brandon started 4th and finished 3rd in his heat race. That locked him into the 12th starting spot in the "A" Main but mechanical trouble left him with a 22nd-place finish. Saturday was more of the same with problems knocking him out of his heat and "B" Main to cap off the weekend.

On Friday, Brandon started 4th in his heat race and finished 3rd. After starting 12th, early mechanical troubles saw the team drop out of the main event with a 22nd-place finish. More car problems kept the team out of the main event on Saturday.

Did not qualify for Main EventBrandon rolled off from the 3rd starting spot in his heat race but problems left him with a 9th-place finish. After starting deep in the field, he raced his way to 6th in the B-Main but it was one spot short of a transfer spot into the main event.

On Friday, Brandon steered the Gressel Racing USMTS Modified to a 19th place finish in the main event after starting 23rd. On Saturday he started and finished 21st in the 35-lap feature race.

Summit USMTS National Championship - 7th Annual USMTS Event presented by American Racer
Finished 18th in Main EventBrandon and the Gressel Racing team enjoyed some home cooking with the USMTS at the 81 Speedway on August 6. In his heat race, Brandon finished 4th after starting 7th and then finished 5th in his "B" Main to earn the 21st starting spot in the "A" Main where he held on for an 18th place finish. In the meantime, he picked up contingency awards from BSB Manufacturing and Integra.

Summit USMTS National Championship - 14th Annual Summer Fling presented by VP Racing Fuels
Did not qualify for Main EventThe Gressel Racing team left Wichita and headed for the Humboldt Speedway on August 7 for the 14th Annual USMTS Summer Fling presented by VP Racing Fuels. A tough draw for his heat race left Brandon 8th after starting 8th which put him deep in the "B" Main starting field. Despite rolling off 10th, he was able to get to 7th at the checkers but unable to advance to the main event.

Summit USMTS National Championship - 11th Annual Slick Mist Show-Me Shootout presented by Foley Equipment
Finished 13th in Main EventSaturday, August 8, took Brandon Givens and the Gressel Racing team to the Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo., for the the 11th Annual USMTS Slick Mist Show-Me Shootout. Brandon Givens finished 4th in his heat race and again finished 4th in his "B" Main to earn a spot in the 40-lap main event. After starting 22nd, he clawed his way forward to record a 13th-place finish while also garnering contingency awards from Penske Racing Shocks and Swift Springs.

Did not qualify for Main EventBrandon's hometown 81 Speedway hosted the inaugural Mel Hambelton Ford Modified “Spooktacular” on Halloween night. Driving the Gressel Racing USRA Modified, Brandon started 8th and finish 7th in his heat. He started 9th in his "B" Main and again finished 7th--just one spot short of transferring to the main event.

The final race of the year for the Summit USMTS National Championship fueled by Casey’s took place Nov. 5-7 with the 3rd Annual Summit Southern Nationals at the RPM Speedway in Crandall, Texas. On Thursday, Brandon started 7th and finished 6th in his heat race. He started and finish 7th in a tough "B" Main and came up one spot shy of making it to the "A" Main. Friday saw another tough draw and a 7th place heat race finish, but he grinded his way from 11th to 6th to take the final transfer to the "A" Main where he started 24th and finished 23rd. Saturday was another step in the right direction, finishing 4th in his heat after starting 5th. he went from 4th to 4rd in his "B" Main and ended the weekend with a 15th place paycheck after starting 18th.
