FOUNTAIN CITY, Wis. – The USMTS Casey’s General Stores National Tour indeed stormed into the Mississippi Thunder Speedway Friday for a $2,000-to-win event, but they blew right back out after the three heat races were complete when heavy rains engulfed the track several hours earlier than forecasted.
The event has been rescheduled for Tuesday, July 13. Grandstand tickets and pit wristbands will be good for that night. If you are unable to attend that night, your other option is to use your “rain check” for the USMTS “Hunt” race on Friday, Aug. 20.
The tireless touring titans get a well-deserved summer vacation with nearly three weeks off before returning to action at the Mississippi Thunder Speedway on July 13 for the first of five straight nights of racing in the State of Minnesota. Once they fire ‘em back up, the campaign doesn’t let up again until the 12th Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree, Sept. 23-25.
Action moves to the Dodge County Speedway in Kasson on Wednesday, July 14, then to the North Central Speedway in Brainerd on Thursday, July 15, before wrapping up the swing on Friday and Saturday, July 16-17, for the 2nd Annual Dirt Nationals at the Elko Speedway in Elko.
