The Summit USMTS National Championship fueled by Casey’s was originally scheduled to be at the Dallas County Speedway in Urbana, Missouri, next Thursday, August 19, for the 3rd Annual USMTS Wehrs Machine Bullring Bash but is postponed until Wednesday, October 27.
The wildly popular event at the smallest track on the USMTS campaign, will now serve as the as the first leg of the four-night championship weekend that will conclude with the crowning of the 2021 USMTS national champion on Saturday, October 30, at the 81 Speedway in Park City, Kansas.
Medieval USRA Stock Cars and USRA B-Mods will remain the support classes for the Dallas County Speedway show.
What was supposed to be the first of a three-day weekend was nixed when officials from the new Arrowhead Speedway in Colcord, Oklahoma, confirmed that the facility would not be completed in time for the event.
Last week, a stop at the Randolph County Raceway in Moberly, Missouri, was added on Friday, August 20, to give USMTS competitors two nights of racing for their travel time, but that event was canceled almost as quickly as it was announced.
The Summit USMTS National Championship fueled by Casey’s will return to action with a traditional Labor Day Weekend tripleheader worth $30,000 to one driver if he or she can sweep all three events.
Action kicks off Friday, September 3, with the 8th Annual USMTS End of Summer Bash presented by Whitewater Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram at the Mississippi Thunder Speedway in Fountain City, Wisconsin.
From there, the tireless USMTS touring titans return to the Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minnesota, on Saturday, September 4, for the 16th Annual USMTS J&S JCB Fastrac 40.
The weekend wraps up Sunday, September 5, when the Fayette County Speedway in West Union, Iowa, hosts the 9th Annual USMTS War in West Union presented by RHRSwag.com.
All three events pay $10,000 to win.
Taking dirt to a new level: The 2021 campaign for the Summit USMTS National Championship fueled by Casey’s currently features 35 nights of racing with the winners of those main events set to take home over $300,000 in earnings from more than $1 million in prize money earmarked for those shows.
Most main events will pay at least $10,000 to win while the others carry a minimum $5,000 top prize. And if that weren’t enough, more than $230,000 is committed to the top ten finishers in the 2021 points standings with a record $70,000 reserved for the 2021 USMTS National Champion.
