Ryan Gustin and the Gressel Racing team returned to the Hawkeye State this past weekend to battle the best dirt late model drivers in America at the Lucas Oil Knoxville Late Model Nationals in Knoxville, Iowa.
After starting deep in the field in the 20-lap Fast Shafts B-Main, Gustin was able to charge forward for an eighth-place finish, but only six transferred to the $40,000-to-win A-Main.
In preliminary action on Thursday, 'The Reaper' finished fith in the C-Main, but again, only the top four finishers went on to the next race. In Friday's B-Main, he finished 12th.
