inches of rain Tuesday and put most of the grounds under water.

Four of the last six events for the USMTS Casey’s General Stores National Tour powered by Swan Energy have fallen victim to Mother Nature’s wrath here in the last half of June, with most of the others getting the show in despite threatening weather lurking overhead.
Today, she delivered a one-two punch, forcing race officials to cancel both the Wednesday night program at the Buena Vista Raceway in Alta, Iowa, and Thursday’s scheduled show at the Park Jefferson Speedway in Jefferson, S.D.
Heavy rains in the northwest corner of Iowa with a forecast of more to come put the kibosh on tonight’s plans at the 4th Annual Battle at The Beaver. More than five inches fell on Park Jefferson over the last 24 hours, leaving most of the facility more suitable for boat racing.

Weather permitting, the final two nights of USMTS Summer Speedweeks action takes place at the Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids, Iowa, on Friday, June 24, with the final trek back to the north and the final stop of the grueling month of June at the newly-configured North Central Speedway in beautiful Brainerd, Minn.
