WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- The inaugural USMTS event at the Central Missouri Speedway was called following hot laps Saturday due to adverse track conditions caused by heavy rains on Friday. It was decided around noon amid bright sunshine to attempt to ready the facility for racing, but efforts to provide a safe racing surface conducive to racing proved fruitless. Track and USMTS officials plan to reschedule the event for a later date this season. The event at the Valley Speedway in Grain Valley is still on for Sunday. Originally scheduled for Friday but postponed due to rain, the track will welcome the USMTS Modifieds for the first-ever visit to the 1/3-mile semi-banked dirt oval and a $2,000-to-win contest in the Schwab’s Tinker Shop Mo-Kan Region.
